Lead Climbing Course (French)

Ready to move from top rope to lead climbing?

This course is designed specifically for climbers who are comfortable top rope belaying and are ready to take the next step into lead climbing.

The Lead Climbing Course teaches you how to safely and confidently transition into lead climbing. You will learn how to climb and clip efficiently and safely, belay a lead climber and catch falls with control and awareness. The focus is on building strong, safe habits so you can climb independently on lead routes with confidence.

Through a mix of instruction and supervised climbing time, you will practice real lead scenarios in a controlled environment to make the transition as smooth and safe as possible.

What you will learn

• Lead climbing equipment and how to use it properly
• Safe and efficient climbing and clipping techniques
• Lead belaying skills and dynamic rope management
• How to catch and control lead falls
• Partner communication and essential safety checks
• Supervised lead climbing practice on the wall

Course details

• Duration: 7 hours total
• Delivered over 2 sessions across 2 weeks
• Small group format: 2-4 participants per course
• Price: 185$ + taxes per person
• Prerequisite:
  • Monolithe top rope belay certification required
  • At least 16 years old
• To ensure the course runs smoothly for all participants, late arrivals may not be admitted once the session has started.
• Equipment provided: ropes and lead belay devices
• Accreditation test included (must be completed at least 24 hours after the final session)
